Sengen Shrine

A historic shrine that has long been a site of worship for the guardian deity of volcanoes. It was once worshiped as a shrine to the god of Mount Fuji, and visitors would always stop by before attempting to climb the mountain. As such, this spot is vital in developing an understanding of the relationship between Mishima and Mount Fuji.

Distillery Water Dragon

Distillery Water Dragon is a whiskey distillery made from a renovated Billboard Architecture structure that boasts a history of over 100 years. Uncommon for Japan, the distillery mainly produces American bourbon-style whiskey, making perfect use of Mishima's clear flowing waters.
A pairing lunch and distillery tour are available by reservation.

Omura Butcher Shop

Visitors can try some local delicacies at Omura Butcher Shop in Monzenmachi, close to the Mishima Taisha Shrine. The cute heart-shaped Mishima croquettes look great in photos. They are available freshly fried from 9:30 AM.

Genbe River

This clear-flowing river is the symbol of Mishima, the city of water. A walking path consisting of wooden paths and stepping stones has been set up in the river, allowing visitors to enjoy exploring the riverbank. Allow yourself to be healed by the soothing sound of the water.

Mishima-Hirokōji Station

This station in central Mishima serves as a stop on the Sunzu Line of the Izu Hakone Railway. It is also a little-known Mount Fuji viewing point from which one can enjoy a view of the passing trains and Mount Fuji. Search for the best angle to get a nice shot♪

Mishima Taisha Shrine

This shrine which boasts a history of over 1,000 years is one of the most famous power spots in Izu. This is said to be the shrine at which Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for the revival of the Minamoto clan, and is considered a place to pray for victory. Experience nature across all four seasons in this sacred atmosphere.

Izu Wasabi Museum

This shop specializes in wasabi products, a specialty of Izu. It is a facility where visitors can observe, taste, and purchase wasabi products at their leisure. Try the wasabi soft serve ice cream with a refreshingly spicy taste.

Michi-no-Eki Izu Gateway Kannami

Serving as the gateway to the Izu Peninsula, this service station offers a wide variety of local souvenirs and specialty products. Visitors can enjoy pouring their own drinking yogurt from a monument that looks like a giant carton of milk, as well as making butter from fresh cream (advanced reservation required on weekdays).

Izu Panorama Park

The ropeway will take you 452 meters to the top of the mountain, and after the climb, you will find a terrace where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama and abundant nature overlooking Mount Fuji.
Not only does the location make for an excellent photo spot with Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay in the background, but you can also enjoy elegant terrace seating with a drink in hand as you gaze out over spectacular views.

Shuzenji Temple, Bamboo Forest Path

Shuzenji Onsen is said to be the oldest hot spring in Izu, and can be enjoyed in any season. Shuzenji Temple, which is said to have been opened by Kobo Daishi Kukai in 807, and the Bamboo Forest Path, a walking path along the river that runs through the center of the spa town, are located here.It is recommended to take a stroll in a yukata or kimono, or take a rickshaw ride.

Izu Fruit Park

Visitors can enjoy picking seasonal fruits such as strawberries, melons, and tangerines throughout the year. You can enjoy the view of Mount Fuji from the second floor deck.

Mishima Skywalk

With a total length of 400 meters, it is a majestic suspension bridge in Japan dedicated to foot traffic, and its appearance and scenery are breathtaking. You can see Mount Fuji, Japan's highest mountain, and Suruga Bay, the deepest bay in Japan, giving you the chance to see two of Japan's greatest landmarks all at once.

Old Hakone Highway (Hakone Kyu-kaido)

This old road was once used to travel from Odawara to Mishima via Mount Hakone. The stone-paved streets have long been the focus of traveler's attention, and even today they are popular photo spots which invoke the atmosphere of old Japan.

Lake Ashinoko

Located in the caldera of Mount Hakone, visitors can enjoy views of the vast lake backed by Mount Fuji. There are many sightseeing attractions, such as hot springs and sightseeing boats, surrounded by clear water and lush nature. Beautiful scenery can be enjoyed in each of the four seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall being the highlights of the year.

Michi-no-Eki(Roadside station) Izu no Heso

This rest stop located in the center of the Izu Peninsula offers a variety of local foods and specialties. It is the perfect place to stop by on your journey, with a café and spacious rest area where you can enjoy strawberries—the region's specialty.

Ikadaba Wasabi Fields

A beautiful and idyllic Japanese landscape with clear streams and stone walls. Refresh yourself with clean water and air while observing the skillful techniques used to grow water wasabi.
